How the photo calorie counter works
Dish recognition from a photo
The AI looks at your plate and finds what is on it: home cooking, restaurant meals, packaged food and Georgian dishes. In a few seconds you get a list of ingredients with their weight.
Calories and macros
From the ingredients and portion size TrackMeal counts calories, protein, fat and carbs, rates how balanced the meal is and shows what is good about it and what could be better.
You stay in control
Change an ingredient, its grams or the whole portion — the numbers update at once. You can also describe a meal in words, list ingredients, scan a barcode or add it by hand.
Why TrackMeal
Convenient
At home, at work or on the go: one photo and the meal is in your diary. No searching through food databases.
Fun
A pear lives in your kitchen and keeps you company. Streaks and rewards slowly furnish the kitchen as you go.
Quick
Recognition takes a few seconds, so you can get back to what matters. Less effort, more progress.
What you get
No manual entry
Snap a photo and the meal, its weight, calories and macros are logged in a tap.

FAQ
How is a photo calorie counter different from a regular tracker?
You do not search for products or type in grams. The AI recognises the meal from a photo and fills in calories and macros for you; you only check and adjust.
How accurate is it?
In our tests the estimates are close to real values for typical portions. A photo cannot show hidden oil or the exact weight, so treat the numbers as an estimate and correct them when you know better.
Is TrackMeal free?
TrackMeal works by subscription, monthly or yearly. The yearly plan starts with a 3-day free trial so you can try every feature first. Manual entry, the diary and weight tracking work without a subscription.
Do I have to enter anything by hand?
Usually not. If the AI misses an ingredient or the weight, edit it in a couple of taps and the totals update.
Does it know Georgian dishes?
Yes. It recognises khinkali, khachapuri (Imeruli, Adjaruli, Megruli), lobio, mtsvadi, pkhali, badrijani, churchkhela and many more, and counts khinkali one by one.
Is it safe to upload photos?
Your diary stays on your phone; there are no accounts. A photo is sent only to recognise the meal and is not kept on our servers. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Is it suitable for gaining muscle or just eating better?
Yes. Pick your goal — lose, keep or gain weight — and TrackMeal sets calories and macros for it. Protein is tracked in every meal.
Is TrackMeal a medical app?
No. It is a nutrition tracker for everyday habits, not a medical device. If you have a medical condition or a special diet, talk to your doctor.
